More remote resorts (Soneva Fushi, St. Regis Vommuli, Constance Moofushi, Centara Grand) require seaplane transfers of 25-45 minutes. Seaplanes only operate during daylight hours (6am-4pm), while speedboats often run 24 hours.

The Maldives offers a free 30-day visa on arrival for all nationalities. You'll need a valid passport with at least 6 months validity, a confirmed hotel booking, and a return/onward flight ticket. No advance visa application is needed.

The local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), but US Dollars are widely accepted at all resorts. Most resorts price in USD and accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). There's no need to exchange currency before arrival — you can settle your resort bill by card.
